Being from Hesperia California, a few hours East of Los Angeles, brothers Rico and Ryan Loredo have always used music as an escape. Over Thanksgiving break in 2015, they convened with their nephew Gabriel in the family garage and began writing songs based on their shared love of the craft. Stuck in a slow, desert town far from the indie scenes of the city, they developed an isolated, unique sound, seemingly out of necessity. The immersive melodies and harmonies of the classic rock they grew up with, combined with new, lo-fi production techniques to make something palatable yet thought-provoking and emotionally potent. Unicorns at Heart is a culmination of their influences in sound and lifestyle, mimicking their idols with a schedule of D.I.Y. recording and relentless underground shows to spread their sound to a wider audience. In the years since their forming, they’ve evolved, matured, and released multiple singles and full length projects.
